Hormonal IUD
Hormonal IUDs are the most effective form of reversible birth control. Nearing 99.9% effective. They have an added benefit of decreasing, or stopping, your period. For this reason, they are also used to suppress painful and heavy periods. There are two options, the Mirena and the Kyleena. Dr. Cameron or Dr. Abrams will review your medical history and help you choose the right one for you.
Copper IUD
The copper IUD is a non-hormonal option of reversible Birth control that is about 99.1% effective. It will often increase your period flow and cramps. However, if you have light periods to begin with, this is a great option. It is the most effective form of emergency contraception.
